Utsuwa + fermented cooking / うつくしい器と発酵食の集い (August 25, 2024)

なんと寒い夏のオランダでしょう。
待てど暮らせど残りの夏のお天気が予測できないので、8月の最後の週の日曜日に企画してみました。
かねてより開きたかった「うつくしい器と発酵食の集い」です。
ちまたでは有名な？器好きの茉莉花ですが、正直全部食卓に並べて使ったことはありません。それを皆さんと使ってみたい！とそれだけの純粋な動機でこのイベントを企画しました。
もちろん、あちこちに眠る選りすぐりの発酵食品、調味料を生かして楽しく調理しそれを美味しく頂くのも目的です。
現在棚には私の製作物だけではなく、世界中から集まってきた星たちのような醸造調味料がひしめき合っています。減らしたつもりなんですが、いつのまにか増えています…。
せっかくなのでとっておきのを開封しようと目論んでいます。是非、一緒に庭でも眺めながら楽しく料理してまったりしましょう。
準備がありますので参加費を設けていますが、もし何かみんなでシェアできる食材（調理可能なもの、自家栽培の野菜や市場の魚屋お肉など）をお持ちいただける方がおられましたらご希望の額だけ免除させて頂きますので、どうぞ気兼ねなくご相談ください。
前回美味しい鮭を持ってきてくださった方がいて、とても嬉しかったのです。お味噌やお醤油との交換も可能です。
ドアは12時から解放し、適当に調理したり器を並べたりしはじめようと思います。あまり時間ぴったりに来ていただかなくても大丈夫です。ストレスなく、ゆったりと集まりましょう。だいたい16時くらいお開きかなと思いますが、そのへんも適当で。

This summer (?), Marika is hosting "Utsuwa + Fermented cooking". Utsuwa is a Japanese word for table wares. As some of you may know Marika is crazy about collecting local artists' table wares. In her shelf there are a number of carefully selected plates and bowls, waiting to be presented for you.
There is also a collection of new ferments either made by Marika or gathered from local craftsmen. Let's cook delicious meals using them, and enjoy them on these Utsuwa.
The door is open from 12:00 and we will casually start cooking. No need to arrive punctual, just come over without stress and join us. Around 14:00 we will most likely be eating already. Not necessarily everyone has to cook either. You can leave or stay longer. No pressure, no tension, no obligation. Just a pure pleasure to share. We will most likely wrap up around 16:00, I guess. We'll see.
In case you have precious ingredients for cooking that we can share (such as vegetables that you grow, fresh fish from market, dessert you made etc.), feel free to tell me how much you want a deduction from the participation fee. Be flexible.
