As I often tell my friends, Miso making is like writing a letter to the future.

11th of March is our 11th marking of Great East Japan Earthquake. We remember this day as 311 in Japan, and many started making Miso to remember the day and rethink thereafter, appreciate what we have and never take anything for granted.

今日は、3月11日。今日だけ考えることはありませんが、もう一度座りなおして眼を閉じる日ではあります。

もう届かない声も、手を伸ばしても触れられないあたたかさも。間に合わなかった想いも。

ちゃんと、そこにあった。そう思い出すたびに、確認できる。不在を確認することは存在の証明でもあります。だから思い出すことは悪いことじゃない。

今この手の中から生み出せるもののことを信じて、手を動かしながら。想いもいつかは溶けて届くと信じて。

お味噌を仕込みましょう。仕込まない人も、健やかな一日を。
